To further promote the connotative development of the Vehicle Engineering major, based on the current situation of the major's multi-dimensional development, and formulate a dynamic construction plan for the professional curriculum system, on April 24, the Department of Automotive Engineering, School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering organized a professional construction seminar for all teachers of the department, which was hosted by Department Chair Liu Fei.
At the meeting, combining the basic situation where the rapid development of automotive industry technology has led to the rapid iteration of talent demand, Teacher Liu Fei briefly analyzed the development trends, key data and research results of relevant universities regarding the Vehicle Engineering and Intelligent Vehicle Engineering majors in domestic universities from the perspectives of background analysis, law research, and adapting to local conditions, and initially introduced the overall thinking for the next step of the construction of the Vehicle Engineering major.
The participating teachers discussed aspects such as the laws of undergraduate talent training, curriculum system restructuring, curriculum content upgrading, and the update of teachers' knowledge systems. They unanimously agreed that the Vehicle Engineering major should uphold integrity and innovate, focus on the overall development ecology of the automotive industry featuring intelligence, electrification, and low carbon, optimize the curriculum setup, update the content of curriculum syllabuses, and strengthen teachers' internal capacity building to provide important support for the scientific and orderly development of the major.
Taking this teaching and research activity as a starting point, the Department of Automotive Engineering will, in accordance with the requirements of the college's professional construction work, continue to carry out professional construction seminars. Through in-depth internal discussions and multi-point external investigations, it will break through and solve key issues, form an implementation roadmap for the transformation and upgrading of the Vehicle Engineering major, and help the major achieve high-quality development.
