The Second Teaching Competition of the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering WasSuccessfully Held

On the afternoon of June 10, the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering held a teaching competition in Rooms 8B604 and 8B656 of the Modern Transportation Building. The event was organized by the Department of Mechanical Design and co-organized by the School Labor Union. lt invited Professor Chen Lihua, former Vice President of Shanghai University of Engineering Science, Party Secretary of the School Yu Rong, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office Jin Xiaoyi, Professor Xu Xincheng, Professor Cai Yingling, and Associate Professor Wang Minghong to serve as judges. The event was hosted by Vice Dean Zhang Liqiang.

Twenty teachers from six departments of the school participated in the competition. According to the drawing order, they were divided into two groups and competed simultaneously. Guided by the concept of "teaching a good course," the teachers used teaching cases to present vivid and engaging classroom segments. The competition covered various types of courses, including basic disciplinary courses, basic professional courses, and specialized courses, spanning areas such as mechanics, machinery, materials, control, and automotive engineering. On site, the panel of experts scored each contestant on their teaching design, classroom performance, and teaching reflection.

Finally, the expert judges focused on aspects such as the participants' teaching content, teaching methods, instructional design, teaching demeanor, and the integration of ideological and political elements into the curriculum. They pointed out the strengths and weaknesses of each participating teacher and offered constructive suggestions. The judges' professional knowledge and rich experience played a positive role in promoting the teachers' growth and improvement.Through this teaching competition, the participating teachers showcased their distinctive teaching styles and innovative spirit, further enhancing their teaching standards and increasing their enthusiasm for teaching.

After deliberation by the panel of judges and the announcement by Professor Chen Lihua and Professor Xu Xincheng, four teachers, Ye Xiao, Fan Zhiyi, Ma Lifeng, and Shen Qin, received the Special Prize; eight teachers, Liu Xiaomei, Ma Minghui, Xu Bin, Zhang Aihua, Zhou Tianjun, Xiao Lanlan, Wu Xin, and Yang Fang, received the First Prize; and eight teachers, Liang Wei, Yuan Tao.Wang Xiaowei, Lai Leijie, Zhao Man, Zhao Chunhua, Cao Juyong, and Wang Ying, received the Second Prize.
